2020-2023 Metals Fellow, Charles Adams Studio Project CASP, Lubbock, TX
⮚ Had an active role in First Friday Art Trail, and other fundraising events.
⮚ Installed various exhibitions.
⮚ Created necessary functional items for the metals studio, print studio, and art galleries. Maintained metals shop equipment, and safety guidelines for the space.
⮚ Assisted in teaching three community-based metals classes available to the general public. Classes were: Build a branding iron, Foundry, and Build your own Fire Pit. They ranged from 4-6 weeks and were available to adults of any skill level.
2020-2023 Art Teacher, Instructor of Record, Evans Middle School, Lubbock, TX.
⮚ Taught seven art sections to students with ages ranging from 12-14. Students were enrolled in either, beginning, intermediate, or advance art based on their previous curriculum taken. Class size ranged between 20-30 students depending on the schools need. I was also responsible for ordering materials and maintenance of the art budget.
⮚ The curriculum was centralized around the elements and principles of art, and included sections on: drawing, painting, mid-media, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking.
⮚ Student artwork was entered into several youth art shows each year. Students from my classes won several awards and were frequently recognized for their artwork, (specifics listed below under student exhibitions).
2020-2021 Cheerleading Coach, Instructor of Record, Evans Middle School, Lubbock, TX.
⮚ Registered and completed training with the University Athletics League, UIL. Completed CPR and 1st aid training. Coached 8th grade girls for football, basketball, and volleyball season.

Students helped to collect 210 cans that were donated to a local food pantry, cards were written and dispersed to several of the local nursing homes in the area, and the girls helped to collect litter from the campus and surrounding area.

It was also my responsibility to offer guidance and assistance to students when needed. I frequently demonstrated tools and equipment in the shop including (but not limited to): MIG, TIG, oxy-acetylene welding, soldering, forging, plasma cutter, band saw, rotary tools, drill press, grinding, and polishing.
2019 Teaching Assistant, 3D Design, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, (Spring 2019).

For 3D design students, it was my responsibility to introduce them to power tools, basic craftsmanship, basic building strategies, materiality, and safety procedures.
2018 Teaching Assistant, Foundry, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, (Fall 2018).
⮚ I helped advanced foundry students learn to make molds for lost wax casting. Invest their work in silicon/slurry, Italian block, and direct displacement molds. Demonstrated cutting, cleaning, and chasing of castings. I also built new foundry coddles, shelves, and pedestals to display student work on.
2018 Teaching Assistant, Intro Mix Media, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, (Spring 2018).
⮚ Demonstrate basic carpentry. Introduced students to contemporary sculpture practices and concepts. Was allowed by my senior faculty to create an assignment where students were to take apart found objects and invent a new (imaginary or functional) the machine out of it.
